The Dordogne Valley - Our Favorite
The Dordogne Valley, in southwest France, is one of the most beautiful areas in the world. Magnificant castles, chateaux, farms and rivers, and wonderful food abound.
This is one of our favorite areas of France, though many travelers are not even aware of its great beauty.
The main focus are the Dordogne towns of Sarlat, Castelnaud, Beynac, LaRoque Gageac, and Domme; with side trips, depending on time, to Lascaux, world famous site of prehistoric cave paintings; Rocamadour, once one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Europe; St. Emilion, a beautiful village in the Bordeaux wine region; and the beautiful Lot Valley and St. Cirq LaPopie, one of the loveliest villages in France.
You can check out our currently scheduled tours in 2009 for this area. Or if you have a small group of 5-10 people interested in putting together your own tour, we can custom-tailor a tour to suit your interests and needs, and accompany you on the tour.
View the video on this page to get a feeling for the area. Then give us a call, or send an email, and we can talk about your particular dream trip.
Bon Voyage!
